Early Career
The year 2000 marked the beginning of Christina Milian’s music career. It was then that she appeared on her first professional track, lending vocals to the Ja Rule song “Between Me and You.” Her obvious talent led her to releasing her first solo single in 2001 “AM to PM.” Later in the year, the self-titled album that housed this single track was released. As far as acting goes, Milian got her start in 1998 by joining the cast of the Disney Channel show Movie Surfers. She continued to act in bit parts in various television shows and movies, finally getting her big breakthrough in the 2003 film Love Don’t Cost a Thing. She won a Teen’s Choice award for ‘Breakout Actress’ for her role in the film.
